There are plenty of programs available that teach you how to present your ideas to others. This program delivers a different twist on the concept.
- Do you feel a lack of connection with your family, friends and co-workers?
- Do you feel that your messages are not being heard?
- Do you spend the time between your own outbursts formulating what you’ll say next rather than listening to what others say?
Then this is the workshop for you! During this half-day program, we will learn to quiet our own minds enough to allow the messages we are receiving to get in, and “go first” in communicating in a new way, creating more complete communication and connection. We will also discover new strategies to help us make the most of the learning opportunities presented to us when someone is brave (or rude!) enough to give us some insight into how we are perceived in the world.
Jocelyn Hastie, CGA/CPA became an accounting supervisor at the age of 22. She has had enough time to make, and learn from, many mistakes. The President of High River Toastmasters, she became fascinated by the concept of the role of listening in communication and has researched the topic extensively. This workshop is the outcome of this study.
